Program Overview
This eight-week, full-time summer program offers students an opportunity to engage in leading-edge laboratory research in a collaborative environment. It is designed for undergraduates who are eager to explore careers in biomedical research.

Program Dates: June 16 – August 8, 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Albert Einstein College of Medicine, 1300 Morris Park Ave, Bronx, NY 10461
Eligibility
- Enrolled in undergraduate studies at Fordham University (Rose Hill or Lincoln Center Campus) or a CUNY institution
- Reside in the Bronx or attend college in the Bronx
- Have a strong background in science
- Display a keen interest in learning about scientific research
- Commit to participating for the full duration of the eight-week program
Application Components
- Application: Complete the MECCC Undergraduate Summer Research Program application form.
- Current Transcript: A student copy is sufficient.
- Recommendation Letter: Provide one letter from a professor (preferably who has taught a lab-based course) or a current/past research advisor.
- CV/Resume: Highlight relevant coursework, experience, and skills.

- Fordham University Students: Apply here.
- CUNY Students Residing in or Attending College in the Bronx: Apply through the NYC Life Sci Consortium (lifesci.nyc) and select the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center (MECCC) Undergraduate Research Program.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 17, 2025.
