Women’s Health Rehabilitation Fellowship

About the Women’s Health Rehabilitation Fellowship

The Women’s Health Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Fellowship at Montefiore Einstein offers one year of advanced training in diagnosing and treating conditions specific to women’s health. Our Program is the first in the United States to provide a unique approach to female-specific rehabilitation care.

Our mission is to address the rehabilitation needs and enhance the quality of life for all women by emphasizing patient-centered care.

This unaccredited fellowship focuses explicitly on the gender differences of musculoskeletal conditions, female pelvic floor dysfunctions, musculoskeletal disorders related to pregnancy, delivery and the postpartum period, osteoporosis, and the management of impairments caused by female-specific cancers.

Clinical training occurs at various treatment sites throughout Montefiore Einstein, primarily at the Einstein and Moses Campuses.

The Program features a continuity outpatient clinic at Montefiore Medical Park, where fellows follow and treat their own panel of patients throughout the year. Consultations are also provided at the Montefiore Einstein hospitals. Protected time for research is also provided during the year.
