Structural Biology Shared Resource
The Structural Biology Shared Resource supports a wide range of protein science technologies for identifying new targets, defining molecular mechanisms and generating new tool compounds and therapeutic leads. Services for cancer center members include (1) state-of-the-art protein production; (2) high resolution structure determination by X-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), and (3) mass spectrometry-based proteomics analyses, including single-cell proteomics. We have the flexibility to explore and implement novel advanced technologies to support the needs of cancer center members.
Through the Structural Biology Shared Resource, we provide cancer center members access to a state-of-the-art infrastructure located in-house and at regional centers (New York Structural Biology Center) and national laboratories (Brookhaven National Laboratory). The utility of these resources is maximized by sustained access to dedicated local expertise.
