Our Services

Parents or guardians of children or adolescents needing mental health services will be asked to complete an intake application, which will then be reviewed to ensure that we are the appropriate care setting for your child’s needs. Following admission, patients meet with a clinical social worker who will complete the intake process. Intake includes a thorough health screening, gathering relevant information and reviewing the completed intake application and behavioral health screens.

At the next appointment, patients will receive psychotherapy, and an appointment with a psychiatrist will be scheduled within one month of the first visit. If applicable, patients typically see their assigned psychiatrist monthly, though the frequency of visits and appointments depends on individual and clinical needs.

Services at Wakefield include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy and medication treatment as needed. Adolescents enrolled in the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program will also meet three times per week, focusing on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills and other supportive modalities.

Patients may participate in one or more of the following services and programs:

  • Becoming an Emerging Adult (BEAM)
  • Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations
  • Group therapy
  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Medication and neurostimulation treatments
  • Neuropsychological testing and evaluation
  • The Connecting and Reflecting Experience (CARE)
