Our mission: To provide an exceptional education in the art and science of nursing through our notable faculty members and collaborative efforts across Montefiore Einstein’s academic health system, combining clinical excellence with scientific leadership.

Flexible Approach, Diverse Opportunities

Montefiore School of Nursing is located in a suburban community adjacent to Bronx County of New York City, and Yonkers, New Rochelle and Pelham in Westchester County.

Our students access diverse clinical experiences, from community hospitals to the nationally recognized academic hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein, ensuring they are well prepared. Montefiore Einstein School of Nursing graduates secure employment in a wide range of settings. Our flexible approach allows students to pursue their degrees on a schedule that fits their life and goals – students may enter the fall semester for the day program or the Spring semester for the evening (weeknights)/weekend program.

Our Program

Based in Mount Vernon, New York, the school offers a private two-year (four-semester) program leading to an associate in science degree in nursing. 

Through a strong theoretical and clinically based program, taught by a faculty who are leaders in their fields, Montefiore School of Nursing graduates receive the education, skills and confidence to provide the community with competent, quality nursing care to transition smoothly to their professional careers.

Graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The school is affiliated with Westchester Community College for instruction in the general education courses that are listed on the program of study. Montefiore School of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc.
