The Department of Nursing at Montefiore-Einstein shares the tremendous responsibility of caring for others with conviction, integrity and expertise. We’re committed to protecting the dignity of the individual while promoting the well-being of all.

Nursing Shared Governance Councils at Montefiore-Einstein strive to establish a framework based on the belief that nurses closest to the patient are in the best position to make decisions related to their care. This framework allows nurses, management and other disciplines to work collaboratively to develop a solid, substantial nursing practice while empowering clinical nurses to participate and lead decision-making processes using evidence-based practice.
