Cough Center Research and Clinical Trials

With one of the few cough centers in the country, Montefiore Medical Center is taking a leading role in much of the ongoing research on chronic cough. We participate in studies to understand the mechanisms of coughing and to test more effective ways to treat and cure chronic cough.

Patients are given the opportunity to participate in clinical trials where research results are applied in an attempt to discover new treatments. Patients taking part in these clinical trials have first access to these revolutionary treatments before they hit the market. The results of which are studied closely by our expert pulmonologists to determine the treatment's effectiveness and future benefits.
