Exceeding National Benchmarks with Six Exemplars
Earning Magnet® status from the ANCC is a prestigious achievement, one that reflects the highest standards in nursing practice, leadership and patient care. In its inaugural designation in 2022, Wakefield Campus was recognized not only with Magnet® status but also with six exemplars for exceeding national benchmarks in key quality and safety metrics.
Wakefield received distinctions for surpassing national performance indicators across all inpatient units in the prevention of falls and catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). The hospital was further commended for its exceptional outcomes in ambulatory burn care, where safety and quality measures exceeded national standards.
Magnet® designation is not a final achievement, but a continuous journey of advancement. Wakefield nurses remain deeply committed to this path—driving excellence, innovation and outcomes that elevate care for every patient, every day.
