With over 275,000 adult visits annually, our Emergency Department (ED) is the busiest in New York State and among the top five nationwide.

Practice Opportunities
Join a high-acuity, academically focused Department embedded in a 726-bed tertiary care hospital. As a faculty member, you will:
- Practice at a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Cardiac Cath Center, a Reimplantation Center and the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM)
- Work alongside stroke and cardiac specialists with 24/7 advanced intervention access
- Teach in one of the nation’s oldest emergency medicine residency programs, with a unique public-private model and the largest EM alumni network in the U.S.
- Participate in scholarly activity—our faculty includes multiple National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded investigators and has authored 100+ peer-reviewed publications
- Engage in ultrasound education, simulation training and student/resident leadership roles
Practice in a supportive, high-functioning ED at our 360-bed hospital near the Bronx/Westchester County border:
- Primary Stroke Center designation
