Flow Cytometry Shared Resource
The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource provides access to instrumentation and technical expertise for single-cell analysis and cell isolation by flow cytometry and fluorescence-activated cell sorting. These technologies are essential to the research of many cancer center members.
Our overall goal is to provide the most up-to-date cell sorting and analytical resources for a wide range of cancer-relevant studies, and to deliver these in a convenient and cost-effective manner for a large cohort of basic and translational scientists.
The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource also offers access to the Immune Monitoring Core facility and its Vectra® Polaris™ multispectral imaging system and nanoString GeoMx® Digital Spatial Profiler, a microfluidic-based platform for spatial profiling of gene and protein expression.
Our full-time staff consists of two highly experienced research faculty-level operations directors who manage daily operations and carry out advanced technical procedures. We also provide technical expertise and training to guide our comprehensive cancer center investigators and their teams in the application of both basic and advanced flow cytometry techniques. Additionally, we organize workshops and demonstrations of new technologies to ensure cancer center investigators are well-informed about newly emerging applications and immune monitoring that can enhance their research.
