HIV/AIDS – The AIDS Center

The first cases of AIDS were diagnosed more than 30 years ago. Since then, the Bronx, a borough of New York City, has experienced one of the highest rates of HIV infection of any county in the nation.

The AIDS Center at Montefiore Einstein Medical Center has been a leader in providing comprehensive, compassionate HIV/AIDS care for more than 20 years.

We provide a comprehensive array of medical and support services for HIV and infectious diseases. Our physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are HIV specialists and recognized as experts in their fields. We offer the most advanced therapies and diagnostic tests for the evaluation and management of HIV.

Experts are also available to offer assistance with issues often associated with HIV, including nutrition, specialized health services, housing, financial assistance and psychosocial support, among other support services.
