Education is our legacy at Montefiore! Montefiore Radiology is proud to lead by example, providing outstanding clinical education and research opportunities to residents, fellows and medical students. Education and opportunity are at the core of our program.
Our department has more than 80 subspecialized radiologists, leaders in education, patient-safety, quality, and research. We offer trainees a hands-on approach, with a comprehensive lecture series and dedicated reading room instruction.
The Department of Radiology offers residency training in Diagnostic Radiology and Integrated Interventional Radiology, as well as a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Residency program. We feature fellowship training in all specialty areas, and offer both general and specialized radiology clerkships for medical students. Leveraging state-of-the-art equipment from 11 imaging facilities, we train students and house staff in the entire spectrum of imaging modalities, intervention, and clinical services. Trainees gain graded independence in image interpretation, receive hands-on experience with interventional procedures, and have extensive opportunities for research.
Medical students, residents and fellows have a tremendous amount of flexibility with electives and research interests. They are strongly encouraged to pursue their individual goals. A team of mentors assists in every way to facilitate the learning process.
