About Our Program
The outpatient program at the Wakefield Department of Adult Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment for a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions for adults 18 and older. Compassionate, evidence-based care is delivered by licensed professionals and clinicians with extensive clinical expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, personality disorders, sleep-wake disorders, and reproductive psychiatry.
Specialized treatment services at the Wakefield Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Division are delivered by licensed professionals and clinicians with extensive clinical expertise in all areas of behavioral health. These professionals include psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors and licensed creative arts therapists.

The Wakefield Adult Clinic is a community-based health center primarily serving the Bronx and Westchester County.
Our Services
As part of our comprehensive mental health support service, we offer compassionate talk therapy and medication management, as well as various treatment modalities to address the specific needs of patients in our community. Our Wakefield campus also has a substance use treatment program co-located at the Wakefield Recovery Center.
Our clinical programs include state-of-the-art individual and group outpatient treatment for adults with mental health conditions or addiction. The Wakefield Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Division also offers neuropsychological assessment services, emergency psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry services and inpatient adult psychiatry.
We provide:

- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Family therapy
- Group psychotherapy
- Individual psychotherapy
- Medication management, including long-acting injectibles
- Neuropsychological testing and evaluation
- Neurostimulation treatments
