Prosthodontics Residency Program
This 36-month program is accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). It provides a broad spectrum of didactic, clinical and laboratory experiences in all aspects of Prosthodontics. Upon completion of the program, graduates are conferred a certificate in Prosthodontics, are educationally qualified, and are board-eligible to challenge the American Board of Prosthodontics' board-certifying examination. The Division of Prosthodontics is well-equipped with current technology to assist in training our residents and enhance patient care outcomes. Residents will get experience with intraoral scanners, computer-aided design (CAD) and implant planning software, Jaw tracking devices, 3D printers, and analog dental laboratory procedures.
The curriculum covers extensive exposure, both didactically and clinically, in
- Fixed Prosthodontics
- Removable Prosthodontics
- Implant prosthodontics (Surgical and restorative)
- Maxillofacial prosthetics
- Esthetic Dentistry
- Full mouth rehabilitations
Prosthodontic residents also take standard basic science courses with the other dental specialty residents. They attend craniofacial conferences with different hospital specialties, such as plastic surgery, ENT, and speech pathology.
Graduates from our program are successful private practitioners, while some go on to subspecialize in maxillofacial prosthetics and surgical implant dentistry.
Applications
All Prosthodontic Residency Program applicants must be United States or Canadian Dental Schools graduates. All applications must be submitted through the ADEA PASS program.
