PGY 4
The final year of the program is designed for the pursuit of special interests. This unique year of training, composed of elective opportunities and rotations, enables residents to engage in a multitude of exciting clinical, teaching and research experiences that will further prepare for the transition to practice, postgraduate fellowships or academia. The chief residency experience, available to selected PGY 4 residents, promotes enhanced development of clinical, teaching, administrative, and leadership skills. Chief residency options include service on inpatient, outpatient, emergency, or consultation-liaison medicine units. Several opportunities are available for those who wish to advance their knowledge and skills as a medical educator.
