Since its founding in 1955, the Psychiatry Residency Program at Montefiore Einstein has trained hundreds of residents, some of whom have become notable leaders. Central to our training is a long-standing commitment to social and community psychiatry and a focus on innovative, integrated patient care. Our Bronx location allows trainees to manage a wide variety of psychiatric issues while also considering each patient’s unique biological, psychosocial and cultural needs. During training, residents are exposed to various treatments and educational opportunities. As a premier academic medical center serving the Bronx, Westchester County and the Hudson Valley, Montefiore Einstein offers its postgraduate trainees comprehensive exposure to diverse patients and pathologies. The diverse range of experience available prepares our postgraduate trainees for future careers in their chosen fields, whether in the research, clinical or nonclinical setting.
