Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center offers education and training opportunities in state-of-the-art settings for the next generation of aspiring research professionals.
Our expert faculty and staff have developed cancer research training programs for prospective and current undergraduate, graduate and medical students as well as postdoctoral and clinical fellows, and professional development offerings for today’s practicing scientists. We also offer programs for youth interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers.
Our Research Education Approach & Focus Areas
Our Comprehensive Cancer Center provides future investigators and educators with a variety of structured, ongoing programs as well as initiatives and events focused on different aspects of cancer research. Students and postdoctoral fellows gain expertise in research through hands-on experience in basic, clinical and translational labs under the guidance of some of the world’s preeminent cancer researchers and clinicians.

Research Training Programs
Discover exciting training opportunities designed for curious and ambitious scientific minds:
- Early Career Cancer Investigators. Learn about opportunities for fellows, seminar series and career networking for early career investigators, as well as our ExCEL Awards Symposium for postdoctoral investigators.
- Einstein Discover Research Program. Earn your Master of Science degree from Lehman College while engaging in 15 months of research and training at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Harold and Muriel Block Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. You will complete hypothesis-driven research for your thesis.
- BEYOND ALBERT, A High School Research Program. High school students aged 16 and up can join a research team at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center. Students learn STEM skills while working in a lab and they present their work at the program’s end.
