Lynne Holden, M.D., Receives Medical Alumni Achievement Award

Lynne Holden, M.D., professor of emergency medicine and senior associate dean for community engagement and outreach at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, recently received the Medical Alumni Achievement Award from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and the school’s Medical Alumni Association. Dr. Holden, who is also an emergency medicine physician at Montefiore Health System, was recognized for exceptional accomplishments and contributions to medicine that have made a lasting impact.
Dr. Holden received the award at a ceremony on April 18 during the school’s reunion and alumni weekend. Temple also noted her role as co-founder and president of Mentoring in Medicine, Inc. (MIM), which provides academic enrichment, programs for parents, and leadership development for economically and educationally disadvantaged students interested in health careers. MIM has helped nearly 1,200 students gain admission to health profession programs, including more than 600 who have become physicians.
Dr. Holden's other numerous honor include the Community Partner Advocacy, Collaboration, and Education (ACE) Award from the Association of American Medical Colleges (2023), an inductee into the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at the Temple Gallery of Success (2023) and the Fern Feldman Anolick-Gold Foundation Lecture Humanism in Medicine Award at Einstein (2024).
