Regional Senior Vice President for New York City and Executive Director, Moses Campus & Faculty Practice Group
Dr. Peter Semczuk manages the operations of Montefiore Einstein’s New York City locations, including the Moses Campus, Children’s Hospital, Wakefield Campus, Weiler/Einstein Hospital, Westchester Square, Hutch Campus and Hudson Yards, among others. He also oversees Montefiore Mount Vernon and is the executive for the Montefiore Faculty Practice Group.
During his career at Montefiore Einstein, Dr. Semczuk’s notable accomplishments include playing an integral role in the opening and management of the nationally-ranked Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein, establishing the first free-standing emergency department in New York State at Westchester Square, founding Montefiore Einstein's renowned International Department, achieving Joint Commission’s Comprehensive Stroke Certification for the Moses Campus and establishing a health system transfer center.
Dr. Semczuk is recognized as a local and national leader, serving on the Board of Governors of the Greater NY Hospital Association, as a fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine and as faculty in the Institute for Healthcare Optimization. He holds a BA in Economics from Hofstra University, an MPH from Columbia University and a DDS from New York University.
