Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows frequently have questions about best practices for planning and navigating a career in cancer research.
In 2020, Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) program launched the biannual Young Cancer Investigator Seminar Series to help trainees get some insight and answers.
What to expect at these separate 1-hour events:
- Scientific Seminars: an early career investigator from another institution discusses their research. These presentations are open to the entire Einstein community, and offer an opportunity to meet with Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center faculty and network with peers.
- Career Chats: a small group discussion with the seminar presenter about their career journey. These chats are open to Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center trainees, including postdoctoral fellows, graduate and MSTP students, and participants in Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center Pathway Programs. Questions and open conversation are encouraged.
