The Connecting and Reflecting Experience (CARE):
CARE is a group-based program that supports parents and caregivers who are having difficulty navigating stressful parenting moments, feeling isolated in their role as a parent, or experiencing conflict with their child. Lead by our committed team of mental health clinicians, the groups are a safe, non-judgmental space for parents to connect, exchange community resources, encourage one another through parenting challenges, and assist each other in better understanding the needs of their children. The 12-week program meets weekly for 1 hour and is being delivered via video telehealth; for many families, our services are covered by insurance. The CARE team is currently enrolling caregivers for several new CARE parenting groups and would be delighted to speak with any parents/caregivers who might benefit from the program or would like to learn more about our services. Those eligible for the program are English- or Spanish-speaking parents or legal guardians of children between 5-17 years of age. Contact the CARE team at Montefiore-Einstein for more information or to schedule an appointment at (718) 304-7146 or careprogram@montefiore.org.
