About Our Program
The Trauma Healing and Resilience in Vulnerable Environments (THRIVE) Program at Montefiore Einstein is a specialty clinic dedicated to providing evidence-based therapy for trauma-related disorders. THRIVE offers psychotherapy for patients between the ages of 18 and 64 who are seeking treatment for trauma-related distress, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, racism-related stress and trauma, interpersonal violence, exposure to disasters and trauma related to marginalization based on gender expression.
THRIVE is offered through the Montefiore Einstein Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, which provides clinical services and individualized treatment plans that focus on group outpatient care.
Our Services
THRIVE provides a range of evidence-based, individualized trauma treatment plans to serve the specific needs of the Bronx. Our program gives patients access to a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including:
- Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
- Affective and interpersonal regulation (STAIR)
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Cognitive processing therapy (CPT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness-based interventions for trauma
- Prolonged/Modified prolonged exposure (PE/MPE)
- Psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Trauma-informed therapies
- Trauma-sensitive yoga
- Written exposure therapy (WET)

The THRIVE program is based in the Moses Ambulatory Outpatient Division on the Moses Campus, Klau 1.
Our programs are equipped to provide behavioral health services in person or via our Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)-compliant telehealth platform. Most insurance providers offer coverage for our services—please call to inquire. Additionally, multilingual or interpreter services may be available.
