Why Pain Medicine Fellows Choose Montefiore
The Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship Program at Montefiore is dedicated to providing our fellows with the excellent clinical and didactic education that is requisite for the successful practice of pain management. We actively enroll patients in clinical trials and are in a perpetual state of academic research.
Our program also prepares fellows for future global medical fiscal changes by educating them in the business and administrative aspects of pain medicine. We direct special focus to the personal development of our fellows, recognizing that to deliver the best possible patient care in a caring, respectful manner, specialists require both knowledge and skill. We are committed to providing Pain fellows the opportunity to excel in academic and clinical pain practice.
The Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship Program operates out of the new Montefiore Hutchinson Campus, a state-of-the-art, 22,000 square foot facility located near our Einstein Campus and adjacent to beautiful Pelham and Westchester County.
A philosophical pillar for this building was to integrate our institution’s individual Pain services in a central location. Rehabilitation, Anesthesiology, and Neurology/Headache division have a shared floor. Three Ambulatory Surgery suites, an eight-bed post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and a 12 office examination wing are some of the amenities in our suite. More than 90% of our fellows’ time is spent in this incredible location.
