Our Specialty Programs
Comprehensive Spine Center
The unmatched collaboration among its world-renowned specialists in rehabilitation medicine, orthopedic surgery, neurological surgery and pain medicine positions Montefiore Einstein as an international leader in spine care. At our full-service Comprehensive Spine Center, we provide multidisciplinary evaluation and comprehensive management for adults with degenerative, traumatic, vascular, congenital and oncological spine conditions.
Our experts specialize in the latest and most advanced nonsurgical and surgical approaches for managing the complete spectrum of spine conditions. Each specialist at our Center has a subspecialization within the disciplines of rehabilitation medicine, pain management and spinal surgery. This expertise spans neck and back pain, nerve and spinal cord compression syndromes, oncologic conditions impacting the spine, scoliotic deformities of the spine and arthritic back pain, as well as the complete spectrum of conditions that cause back pain.
Function Clinic
The Function Clinic delivers coordinated treatment plans and interventions designed to minimize or eliminate the impact of disability on an individual’s daily function. Our Function Clinic team, conveniently co-located, integrates surgical and medical excellence with a profound understanding of patient and family needs, prioritizing holistic life experiences over isolated ailments. Our objective is to foster independence and enhance the overall quality of life while also providing essential support to caregivers navigating unique challenges.
Through collaborative care from a multidisciplinary team of dedicated specialists, we optimize support for children and young adults with chronic disabilities. Our specialists conduct comprehensive evaluations and collaboratively develop individualized plans during a single visit, involving the individual’s family in decision-making to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Our renowned specialists treat disabilities in children and adults that result from conditions such as: cerebral palsy or birth injuries to the brain and spinal cord; syndromes and genetic conditions affecting the neurologic and musculoskeletal systems; primary and secondary injuries to the central nervous system that cause spasticity; spina bifida and tethered spinal cord; and neurogenic bowel and bladder conditions, including incontinence and constipation
