Nationally recognized as one of the largest ophthalmology departments in New York State, our experts use the most advanced technologies and innovative cataract treatments to ensure the best possible outcomes. Roy S. Chuck, MD, PhD, Chair and Professor, Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is co-inventor of the Trabectome (NeoMedix), a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared surgical device that is commonly combined with cataract surgery to help lower intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma.
