Our Approach to Complex & High Risk Coronary Intervention
The Montefiore Einstein Complex and High-risk Coronary Intervention Program is a global leader in performing advanced procedures for patients otherwise turned down for treatment. Our multidisciplinary team of renowned interventional cardiologists specializes in performing high-risk and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). We treat patients diagnosed with all types of complex coronary disease, including those with advanced heart failure, poor left ventricular function, and severe calcification. We are one of only a few programs in the nation to use special imaging of the inside of the artery to guide procedures in more than 90% of cases we treat. Our program serves as an international referral site for critical procedures, including catheter ablation and cardiac device implantation. We are also conducting multicenter, randomized controlled clinical trials in atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia across the world. We’re ranked in the top 1% of all hospitals in the nation for Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery according to U.S. News & World Report.
