Advancing the Science of Cardiovascular Care
At Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care, we’re committed to discovery and innovation, yielding the latest and most innovative treatment options. We lead the way with over a century of research breakthroughs and have developed many of the latest techniques used throughout cardiology care today such as the world's first transvenous cardiac pacemaker system.
We are spearheading clinical trials exploring promising new devices and therapies. Through notable NIH-funded grants, we study the mechanisms and genetics of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, myocardial infarction, the molecular biology of heart muscle and the causes of heart failure and heart disease.
We were selected among a few centers in the nation to perform FDA investigational device exemption (IDE) trials for pulsed field ablation, are conducting one of the largest multicenter randomized control clinical trials in the world for atrial fibrillation and we continue to lead the nation in clinical trials for Ventricular Assist Devices for heart failure. We are also one of a few heart centers in the world engaged in clinical research using novel stem cell therapy for regenerating heart muscle particularly in LVAD recipients.
State-of-the-Art Technology
As leaders in the development of the most advanced noninvasive cardiac diagnostic technology used throughout the world, our advanced cardiac and vascular imaging methods can help improve the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases. With the latest state-of-the-art technology, we specialize in the most advanced diagnostics to detect and treat common and complex conditions earlier. We offer the latest available technology and provide novel minimally invasive solutions for quicker recovery.
