Diagnostic Testing for Cardiac Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory condition that can affect multiple organs. In cardiac sarcoidosis, tiny collections of immune cells form granulomas in the heart tissue, which can interfere with normal heart functioning. For patients with cardiac sarcoidosis symptoms, we offer an extensive spectrum of advanced diagnostic testing:

  • Blood tests
  • Echocardiogram
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)
  • Stress tests
  • Coronary Angioplasty or Cardiac Catheterization
  • Heart Biopsy
  • Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Scan
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Combined PET/MRI
