Chalese K. Richardson-Olivier, MD, is Director, Pediatric Electrophysiology and Program Fellowship Director, Pediatric Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Richardson has clinical interest in arrhythmias and conduction disorders in pediatric patients and in patients with congenital heart disease. She also manages patients with implantable cardiac devices, inherited channelopathies and sudden cardiac death syndromes, and patients requiring electrophysiology studies and cardiac ablation.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in biomedical education in 2011 from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, Dr. Richardson attended Albany Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2013. She began her postgraduate training at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center, Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, completing her general pediatrics residency in 2016. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NY, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as a clinical fellow from 2016 to 2018, then was Chief Fellow until 2019. In 2020, Dr. Richardson completed a pediatric electrophysiology fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Philadelphia.

Dr. Richardson’s research interests include implantable cardiac devices for pediatric patients, inherited arrhythmia syndromes, sudden cardiac death and cardiac ablation. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, case reports, poster presentations and invited presentations.

Dr. Richardson is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. She is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the Pediatrics and Congenital Electrophysiology Society, among others.
