Moorice Caparo, MD, is Associate Fellowship Program Director, Multidisciplinary Pain Program and Assistant Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Anesthesia at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on pain medicine, medical education, simulation medicine and musculoskeletal medicine.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor in psychological and brain sciences from Johns Hopkins University in 2012, Dr. Caparo earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers University in 2016. He then completed a preliminary internship in internal medicine at Morristown Medical Center in 2017 before completing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School in 2020. Following this, Dr. Caparo completed a fellowship in multidisciplinary pain medicine at Montefiore in 2021.

Dr. Caparo’s research interests mirror his clinical expertise. His work has been published in original communications in peer-reviewed journals, books, review articles, abstracts and poster presentations, and he has given invited presentations nationally.

Dr. Caparo is board certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the New York Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the North American Neuromodulation Society and the North American Spine Society. Dr. Caparo has received multiple awards, including the Excellence in Teaching award at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
