Johnny Yap, MD, is a Radiation Oncologist and Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology at Montefiore Einstein. With a clinical focus is in breast, gastrointestinal, gynecological, lung and stereotactic radiation, Dr. Yap has expertise with utilizing a broad range of radiation treatment technologies.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University, Chicago Medical School in 1995, Dr. Yap completed his internship at Yale University in 1996, followed by his radiation oncology residency at Wayne State University Medical Center, Detroit Medical Center in 2000.
Dr. Yap’s research interests focus on breast cancer. His work has been shared in peer-reviewed journals as well as posters, abstracts and oral presentations. Dr. Yap is also an editorial board member and reviewer for Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology.
Dr. Yap is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and is a member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the Radiosurgery Society.
