Dima Raskolnikov, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Urology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Raskolnikov specializes in minimally invasive surgery with a focus on complex kidney stone disease, robotic urinary tract reconstruction and kidney cancer.

In 2009, Dr. Raskolnikov graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and society. He then pursued his Doctor of Medicine degree at Downstate College of Medicine, State University of New York (SUNY Downstate). During this time, he also completed a research fellowship with the Urologic Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute, NIH, from 2013 to 2014, graduating from SUNY Downstate with his MD with distinction in research in 2015. His postgraduate training took him to University of Washington, where he completed an internship in general surgery in 2016, a residency in urology in 2021 and a fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery in 2022.

Dr. Raskolnikov’s research focuses on quality improvement programs that make urological care more effective and efficient. He has developed clinical pathways to streamline the emergency care of kidney stone patients, as well as to reduce their exposure to imaging-generated radiation. Dr. Raskolnikov has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, posters and abstracts . He is also a reviewer for Journal of Urology, European Urology and Urology.

Dr. Raskolnikov is a member of the American Urological Association.
