Tanya Johns, MD, MHS is an Associate Professor of Medicine and a Clinical Investigator in the Department of Medicine/ Division of Nephrology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/ Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Johns earned her medical degree from Weill Medical College of Cornell University and completed Internal Medicine training at NY Presbyterian, where she was also an Assistant Chief Resident. Dr. Johns graduated from the Johns Hopkins Nephrology Fellowship with a Masters in Health Sciences in Clinical Epidemiology. She specializes in care of patients with various kidney disorders and serves as the medical director for Montefiore’s Kidney Care Program, an interdisciplinary care clinic for patients with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Johns is an NIH supported researcher and her over-arching research goal is to increase health equity and improve outcomes for all patients with kidney disease.
