Ronda E. Alexander, MD, FACS, is Director, Division of Laryngology, Otorhinolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery at Montefiore-Einstein. A practicing laryngologist since 2008, Dr. Alexander’s clinical focus is on voice disorders, airway injuries and stenosis, neurologic disorders of the head and neck, and tracheostomy care.

A graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, Dr. Alexander completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2002. Her postdoctoral training began with an internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center followed by a four-year residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completed in 2007. She augmented her skills with a yearlong fellowship in laryngology and neurolaryngology at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders.

Dr. Alexander’s research interests parallel her clinical focus. In addition to publishing her work in peer-reviewed journals, she has contributed several book chapters and presented at many regional and national meetings.

Dr. Alexander is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. She has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor every year since 2014 and was named among Castle Connolly's Exceptional Women in Medicine in 2019. In 2019, she also received an honor award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
