Johanna Seiden, MD, MPH, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Neurology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Seiden is specifically interested in stroke in the young, as well as stroke associated with systemic disease.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biopsychology from Tufts University in 2012, Dr. Seiden earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health at the same institution in 2018. She then came to Montefiore Einstein to continue her medical training, completing an internal medicine internship in 2019 and her residency in neurology in 2022, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. Following this, Dr. Seiden completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at New York University, in 2023.
Dr. Seiden participates in stroke disparities research both nationally and internationally. She is also interested in improving medical education in stroke. Her work has been through invited presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
