Christine N. Staeger-Hirsch, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Radiology at Montefiore Einstein. She specializes in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and breast interventional procedures, including stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, MRI-guided breast biopsy and preoperative localization procedures.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University in 1997, Dr. Staeger-Hirsch earned her Doctor of Medicine at New York University in 2001. She completed a transitional year internship at New York Hospital at Queens in 2002 before completing her diagnostic radiology residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt – Hospital Center in 2006. Following this, Dr. Staeger-Hirsch completed a women’s imaging fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center in 2007.
Dr. Staeger-Hirsch is board certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Breast Imaging. She has been named in Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors - New York Metro Area - Diagnostic Radiology” and Westchester Magazine “Top Doctors - Diagnostic Radiology” for many years. Dr. Staeger-Hirsch was also named in Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors - Regional Top Doctor - Diagnostic Radiology” in 2013.
