Dana Sanderson, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics and Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is in general pediatrics and community pediatrics. She cares for the well-being of children from birth to age 21 through preventative medicine, acute visits and chronic disease management. Dr. Sanderson aims to understand the child within the family context and provide knowledge and guidance to assist the family in caring for the child through different developmental stages and during acute medical illnesses.

After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Boston College in 2008, Dr. Sanderson earned her Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York-Downstate College of Medicine in 2013. She then completed her pediatric internship at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in 2014 before completing her pediatric residency at the same institution in 2016.

Dr. Sanderson’s research interest is in social determinants of health, specifically, the use of community health workers within healthcare settings to assist with patients' social needs. Her work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, and she has given numerous poster presentations nationwide.

Dr. Sanderson is board certified in Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
