Lisa Rappaport, PhD, is Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on neurodevelopmental disorders such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism and developmental disabilities.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988, Dr. Rappaport went on to earn her Doctor of Philosophy in psychology at Fordham University in 1998.
Dr. Rappaport’s research focuses on dyslexia and reading disabilities. Her work has been published in numerous publications and she has spoken at many panels and invited lectures. She has been on the professional advisory board of the national organization Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities (LD) since 1999.
Dr. Rappaport is a Licensed Psychologist. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the Learning Disabilities Association and the International Dyslexia Association. She has written a book for parents about how to raise a dyslexic child that will be published in the fall of 2025.
