About
Gonzalo A. Manzano, MD, is Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Ultrasound Educator at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Manzano’s clinical focus is on the medical care of children who are acutely ill or injured. As a specialist in pediatric emergency medicine, he is trained to care for a wide range of problems that are often serious and require immediate medical help.
In 2006, Dr. Manzano earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. He then attended New York Medical College, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2010. He began his postdoctoral training at Hofstra University, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, completing a four-year pediatric residency in 2014, acting as chief resident in his final year. He then pursued a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship with Einstein at Jacobi Medical Center, completing it in 2017.
Dr. Manzano’s research focuses on the use of ultrasound in the pediatric emergency department. He also has interest in medical student, resident and fellow education.
Dr. Manzano is board certified in general pediatrics and emergency medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
