Rachel Berman, MD, is Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on pediatric care.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Social Anthropology at Harvard University in 2004, Dr. Berman attended Boston University's School of Medicine and School of Public Health, earning her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health in 2010. She pursued her postdoctoral training at Boston University School of Medicine, completing an internship and residency in 2013, followed by a residency in Preventive Medicine in 2015.
Dr. Berman’s research has explored the care of new immigrant and refugee patients as well as poverty-related social determinants of health. She has presented her work nationally and has had her work published in reviewed journals.
Dr. Berman is board certified and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Academic Pediatric Association.
