Clinical Focus

As the leader of the Division of Obstetric Anesthesiology, Dr. Reddy leads a team of highly educated and caring obstetric anesthesiologists dedicated to providing excellent care for pregnant women on their most important event of welcoming a new baby into their lives. Her clinical focus is on caring for high-risk parturients who may have conditions such as heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, advanced maternal age, and multiple births.

Research Focus

Dr. Reddy's areas of research interest are Obstetric Anesthesiology, Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, and Graduate Medical Education. She has conducted research on a range of topics including the anesthetic management of patients with pulmonary hypertension undergoing cesarean section and reducing acute postoperative pain for cesarean section patients. She is also currently the principal investigator on an NIH-sponsored, double-blind randomized controlled clinical trial examining whether ketamine is effective in decreasing chronic postsurgical pain for patients who have undergone mastectomy.
