Dr. Papalezova completed a fellowship in surgical onocology at Duke University Medical Center and completed her general surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Her clinical research expertise is in comparing the effectiveness of different types of high-dose chemotherapy on localized melanomas. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons and other professional societies, and has co-authored book chapters and numerous journal articles.
