Katherine O’Connor, MD, is an Associate Director in the Division of Hospital Medicine and an Attending Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. O’Connor joined Montefiore in 2007.

Dr. O’Connor received her Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Neuroscience in 1999 from Harvard University. In 2003, she received her Medical Doctorate from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. O’Connor attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2003 to 2007 where she completed an internship and residency in pediatrics.

Dr. O’Connor is an advocate for patient and family comfort. Her research and quality improvement efforts are focused on pain control, topical anesthetic use for venipuncture and improving the patient experience. She is currently working on a study to help educate families about firearm injury prevention in the inpatient setting. Dr. O’Connor’s work has been published in multiple manuscripts and book chapters.

Dr. O’Connor is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
