Elizabeth M. Gromet, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor and Assistant Clerkship Director at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gromet’s clinical interests focus on gynecologic care including abnormal uterine bleeding, contraceptive care, fibroid management and minimally invasive surgery. Her obstetric focus is in general prenatal care including preconception counseling, multifetal gestations and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
A graduate of Georgetown University, Dr. Gromet received her Bachelor of Science in neurobiology in 2014. She then attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2018. She pursued her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, completing it in 2022.
Dr. Gromet's research focuses on the education of medical students and resident doctors as well as community contraceptive knowledge and use. She has shared her work through publications and presentations.
Dr. Gromet is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Alpha Omega Alpha.
