Ari Moskowitz, MD, MPH, is Medical Intensive Care Unit Director and Associate Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Moskowitz’s clinical focus is in medical critical illness including acute respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis and cardiac arrest.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts in biology and psychology at Washington University in St. Louis In 2007, Dr. Moskowitz pursued his medical education at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2011. He began his postgraduate training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, completing his internship and residency in internal medicine in 2014. He then went to Massachusetts General Hospital to complete a four-year clinical and research fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. In 2021, Dr. Moskowitz earned his Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Dr. Moskowitz’s research interests include cardiac arrest and sepsis, with particular interest in pragmatic clinical trials. He has shared his research through peer-reviewed journals, review articles and invited presentations, and is an ad hoc reviewer for several medical journals including Stroke, Circulation, Journal of the American Heart Association, among many others.

Dr. Moskowitz is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. He is a member of the American Heart Association and the American Thoracic Society.
