Vincent Costa, MD, is Assistant Director, Emergency Department and Assistant Professor, Emergency Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Costa’s clinical focus is on the scheduling of clinical shifts, maintaining and improving patient experience, and ensuring work-life balance is maintained within the department.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and molecular biology at Drew University in 2010, Dr. Costa attended Stony Brook University School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2014. He completed his three-year residency in emergency medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in 2017.
Dr. Costa’s research focuses on pain management in the emergency room. He’s shared his work through peer-reviewed journals and presentations.
Dr. Costa is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
