Tiwalade Adediji, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Adediji’s clinical focus centers on bariatric surgery. She is committed to improving access to metabolic and weight-loss surgery for patients. Her work explores how surgical interventions can enhance outcomes and improve quality of life in our community.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in cell biology and neuroscience from Rutgers University in 2014, Dr. Adediji earned her Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 2018. She then completed her general surgery residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2023, followed by an advanced gastrointestinal minimally invasive surgery (GI/MIS) fellowship at Montefiore Einstein in 2024. During her training, she engaged in global health initiatives across Africa.
Dr. Adediji’s research focuses on quality improvement in bariatric surgery. She has presented her work at scientific meetings.
Dr. Adediji is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
