Customer Service

Social Services
Working as part of your healthcare team, a Montefiore Einstein social worker can assist you in navigating your inpatient or outpatient experience. Whether you need help with finances, counseling, discharge planning, patient advocacy or information and referral services, our Social Services Department can help.
Bioethics Consultation Service
Healthcare decisions depend not only on medical information, but also on the patient’s values and other preferences. The Montefiore Einstein Center for Bioethics is dedicated to addressing the complex issues that arise in the hospital setting, drawing together the expertise necessary to promote reasoned analysis of ethical issues in healthcare.
Spiritual Care
We know a person’s spirituality is a vital component of their total well-being. Our Spiritual Care Team includes chaplains, priests, imams and rabbis who are available to patients, family members and caregivers. Additionally, each of our hospitals has a chapel and synagogue open seven days a week. Spiritual care can be arranged by asking the patient’s nurse, calling the operator on the in-room phone or calling our Customer Service Department at 718-920-4943.
Jewish Orthodox Care
Montefiore Einstein has a long history of meeting the health and spiritual needs of the Jewish Orthodox community. We educate our staff on cultural sensitivities that may impact a patient’s stay, and we offer a number of services to help Jewish Orthodox patients and their families uphold their religious and moral beliefs while receiving care with us.
Caregiver Support Center
The exceptional staff at the Caregiver Support Center is trained to support caregivers’ needs, from listening to their concerns to offering a safe refuge to recharge, receive emotional support and get a quiet respite from their loved one’s room. The center can also assist in navigating services and provide access to needed resources.
Support is free, confidential and welcoming at the Caregiver Support Centers at Montefiore Hospital/Moses Campus, Weiler Hospital/Einstein Campus, Montefiore Hospital/Wakefield Campus, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital and White Plains Hospital.
