In incorporating surgical ethics into the general residency curriculum it became apparent that there was a need to address moral distress. Moral distress conferences - "Sip & Share" were initiated to provide a safe environment to mitigate moral distress, reflect, parse out the ethical and moral challenges, and provide practical take-aways.
