Ruobing Xiao, MD, MSC, is Laboratory Director, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Assistant Professor, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Xiao has professional interests in clinical pathology, hematology and laboratory improvement.

After earning her Doctor of Medicine at the University of New Mexico in 2008, Dr. Xiao completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Massachusetts in 2012. She remained there to complete her hematopathology fellowship in 2013.

Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Xiao’s research focuses on the pathogenesis of multiple myeloma and environmental factors that may trigger its progression. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters and review articles.

Dr. Xiao is board certified by the American Board of Pathology and is a member of the College of American Pathologists and the New York State Society of Pathologists.
